beware of free things!
“It is good for a man to bear the yoke of his youth.” Lam.3:27
Those who live on free things never become free.
Anything you don’t labour to get, you won’t have the sense to keep.
Your sweat reminds you of the price you paid to get whatever you have.
You can’t remember the sweat and play the careless.
Get it by yourself and you will have enough sense to manage it by yourself.
This is the reason why the Bible encourages the youth in particular to carry the yoke of his youth.
Those who fail to bear their burden today may end as a burden in their old age.
stop looking for who will carry you today because no one can carry you forever. They will soon get weary of you and drop you. Accept responsibility if you don’t want to end as liability.

A story is told about a soldier who was finally coming home after having fought in Vietnam. He called his parents from San Francisco."Mom and Dad, I'm coming home, but I've a favor to ask. I have a friend I'd like to bring home with me."
"Sure," they replied, "we'd love to meet him."
"There's something you should know the son continued,"he was hurt pretty badly in the fighting. He stepped on a land mind and lost an arm and a leg. He has nowhere else to go, and I want him to come live with us."
"I'm sorry to hear that, son. Maybe we can help him find somewhere to live." "No, Mom and Dad, I want him to live with us."
"Son," said the father, "you don't know what you're asking. Someone with such a handicap would be a terrible burden on us. We have our own lives to live,and we can't let something like this interfere with our lives. I think you should just come home and forget about this guy. He'll find a way to live on his own."
At that point, the son hung up the phone. The parents heard nothing more from him. A few days later,however, they received a call from the San Francisco police. Their son had died after falling from a building, they were told. The police believed it was suicide. The grief-stricken parents flew to San Francisco and were taken to the city morgue to identify the body of their son. We find it easy to love those who are good-looking or fun to have around, but we don't like people who inconvenience us or make us feel uncomfortable. Someone who loves us with an unconditional love that welcomes us into the forever family, regardless of how messed up we are.

Once upon a time, there was an island where all the
feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, and all of the
others, including Love.
One day it was announced to the feelings that the
island would sink, so all repaired their boats and
left.
Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to
persevere until the last possible moment.
When the island was almost sinking, Love decided to
ask for help.
Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love
said, "Richness, can you take me with you?" Richness
answered, "No I can't..There is a lot of gold and
silver in my boat. There is no place for you here."
Love decided to ask Vanity, who was also passing by in
a beautiful vessel, "Vanity, please help me!" "I can't
help you Love. You are all wet and might damage my
boat," Vanity answered.
Sadness was close by so Love asked for help, "Sadness

I may have forgotten to say that I care. I may have failed to open up and share, but though no words have been spoken, my promise of friendship won't be broken .

after the fairy tale
every girl longs for the first love, the first kiss and the first whisper of the three precious words" i love you". its always thought about how the prince charming will appear and carry you on his flying white horse.i am no exception.
my prince charming came at the most unexpected time. i was a fresh fresher on my way to campus. i arrived at the bus park only to find that the person who was to pick me up had been caught in an emergency. i was tired, dirty and hungry, the typical damsel in distress. i did not know who to turn to and i sat there wishing that the ground would open up and swallow me.
then i saw him, tall dark and handsome with a smile that could cure a heartache. he offered to help me and trust me, that is the day i stated believing that angels do exist.he helped me settle down and find a hostel and at least i became comfortable.
it was just a friendship but things took a different turn. see, i thought, after reading many fairy tales, that people were only supposed to have problems before they admitted they had feelings for each other. it happened to Cinderella, snow white and Rapunzel.so, one night we both confessed and as they say.....the rest is history.
the next few months were heaven to me and i was in cloud nine. however, not all things are meant to last. i became pushy and did not want him to go out.i felt bad when he left me alone in the house. i missed him terribly when he went for business tours.then the lies started. i found numbers in his jeans, he was talking in his sleep and there were later in my mail. i could not comprehend what was going on.....
finally, he admitted that he was seeing someone else. this hit me like a heart attack .it was hard for me to imagine it.i knew he was unfaithful and it killed me inside to know that he was happy with some other gal. i tried all tricks in the book, i begged, threatened,cried but all in vain. finally, in the midst of the pain and anger, i had to let go.
all said and done, i was left with one question.....how could an angel break my heart?

simple me
its hard to be born a girl more so a last born in a large family. i was everything but a quiet girl.many at times my family would have preferred to call me a Tommy girl. i was nothing compared to what i am today.
only one thing kept me going, the strength of i can. see, i am a precarious child. i was born with tretatology of fallot. forgive my french that means a hole in the heart. as a result i was not expected to live long. i suffered from many complications. my lips were always red and you would think i had permanent lipstick. my fingers were clubbed, my hair was brown in colour. as a matter of fact no one expected me to live past ten years old. i was living on bargained years.
i underwent an open heart surgery that corrected my condition. i could now smile, play act and jump like all the other children. many who knew me called it a miracle, many who know me call me a living testimony.
i believe in Celine Dion's words"deep within each heart there lies a magic spark that lights up the fire of all creation...since the dawn of man, the strength of just i can has brought together people of all nations...." don't know all the words bu there are some sentences which goes like"heal our hearts forever more, teaching lessons we must learn to bring us closer to the power of a dream....."
my dream is to become one of the greatest writers of my time. whats yours? a friend of mine once told me that your dream is your passion, your passion is what you can talk about for hours and never get bored. Challenge: post me your dream, id like to hear about it.
finally, don't laugh at your friends dreams. people who don't have dreams don't have much...
